I created a masculine Thank You card for this weeks challenge.  I'm trying to build up my stash of masculine cards and the Nautical theme works perfect.  I used the Float My Boat stamp set & coordinating dies from Lawn Fawn along with papers from the Ahoy There 6x6 pad by Carte Bella.

Retro Sketches Challenge #153 | IHP Store Update

Happy Friday Everyone!!

I had a chance to play along with this weeks challenge over at Retro Sketches!!  I just LOVE Arielle's sketches!!

For today's card I created a masculine birthday card.  I kept the design very clean and even created my own enamel dots using just card stock and glossy accents.  I tend to want to add girly accents but I think I was able to stay true to this weeks sketch and kept it very clean and simple.  What do you think?

This week Ella is challenging us to use the colors Gold & Black on our projects!   I just love how elegant this color combo is.   For my card I picked a sentiment from the Strictly Sentiments 5 set from WPlus9 and a chevron pattern from the Record It! Charmed 6x6 Pad from My Minds Eye.  For the gold I created my own paper by using white card stock and gold embossing powder.  It's a great way to ensure your golds match.
