I finally opened my Spellbinders BetterPress LetterPress and played with it! I found it very easy to use and not much of a learning curve like with the Glimmer machine. I love that you get a perfect inking and the texture of the LetterPress.My first set of cards feature the NEW BetterPress Christmas Collection that was released in July and can be found HERE.

My first card features the NEW Holiday Foliage Press Plate (BP-063) along with the Essential Hexi-Gems die set (S5-588) to cut the sentiment out and layer and add back with a little foam squares to add dimension. With this being my first try I used Canson XL Watercolor paper as I wanted to get a feel for it before using my BetterPress paper. For the image I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and did simple coloring. For embellishment I added a couple gold pearls.

Card Measurements:

White A2 Top Fold Card Panel: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", Scored at 5 1/2")

Pomegranate Panel: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Canson XL Watercolor Panel: 4" x 5 1/4"

Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers:

Leaves & Pine Needles: 046 Mid Green, #043 Olive Green

Poinsettia & Berries: #022 Carmine Red, #029 Geranium Red

Pine Cone: #065 Mid Brown

My second card features the NEW Merriest Christmas Press Plate along with the poinsettias from the Winter Welcome Sled (S4-1219) and the Scenic Poinsettias 3D Embossing Folder (E3D-038) to create an elegant but simple card design.

White A2 Card Base: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" (5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4")

White Embossed Panel: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"

Gold Glitter Mat: 5 1/2" x 2 9/16"

Porcelain Panel: 5 1/2" x 2 7/16"
