It's time for a new challenge over on the Color Hues Challenge Blog! We are challenging you to use Mustard & Turquoise!

Here's my take...

I created a CAS (clean & simple) Congratulations card featuring the NEW Sealed Flowers Etched Dies from the Sealed by Spellbinders Collection. The sentiment is from their Just Wanted to Say Sentiments stamp set.

Card Measurements:
White Mini Slimline: 3 1/4" x 6 1/4"
Stripped Panel: 2 7/8" x 5 7/8"
Sentiment Strip: 2 1/4" x 3/8"

Steps to Create Card:
  • Create White Mini Slimline card base: 3 1/4" x 6 1/4" (side fold or top fold)
  • Create stripped background. Cut 3/4" x 3 1/2" strips of card stock in mustard and turquoise card stock. I then cut a piece of copy paper a little larger that the size of panel to attached them to with tape runner or glue.
  • Cut stripped background panel to 2 7/8" x 5 7/8"
  • Add paint splatters to stripped panel.
  • Die Cut Sealed Flowers Etched Dies (S3-460) in white card stock, Flowers in mustard card stock.
  • Stamp & Emboss sentiment from Just Wanted to Say Sentiments (STP-109) on black card stock and emboss in white. Trim to create sentiment strip.
  • Assemble card. The card panel, Flower and sentiment panel are all popped up with foam tape. (optional)
  • For embellishment add white enamel dots to flower centers and by sentiment.
*TIP: Use a Jewel Picker to help assemble the small parts of the flower.
