Here's a closer look at the two cards I shared in today's Release post over on the KS blog!

My first card features the NEW Stitched Heart Coverplate along with the Condensed Upper Case Alphabet and a sentiment from the Quokka 'n Up stamp set.

To create the background I first cut out the Stitched Heart Coverplate on a piece of red card stock and then took red and charcoal brown ink and ink blended around the edges. For sparkle I took a mixture of water and Perfect Pearls in a mini mister and lightly sprayed the panel. I heat embossed the small sentiment and added a few sequins for embellishment.

Card Measurements:

Black A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

Red Stitched Heart Coverplate Panel: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Black Sentiment Strip: 1 1/2" x 1 /4"

White Panel (inside of card): 4" x 5 1/4"

My second features the NEW Smooches Coverplate and Love You Sentiment w/Shadow along with a heart from the Heart Donut Builder die set.

I kept the design very CAS (clean and simple) leaving the focus on the sweet background and sentiment by cutting a few strip of (Pink, Red, & Dark Red) card stock and trimming them to fit on the panel. Super simple and a great way to use up those scraps! For embellishment I added a few sequins and one little Kisses Sprinkle.

Heart: 2"

Love Sentiment: 1 1/2" x 3/4"
