Verve July 2017 Guest Diva Wrap Up

Verve Guest Diva & July 2017 Release Spotlight Hops - Day 4

 

Welcome back to Day 4 of Verve's July Release Spotlight Hops!  It's an exciting day as there's new Verve in the store this morning! Three beautiful new sets and coordinating die sets just released and they're all available in the shop right now. To celebrate our new release, we're putting on another blog hop with a fabulous giveaway!

Today's featured focus is designer's choice, so you might just sneak a peek at a whole bunch of must-haves!  I'm using the NEW Always Time and Fill My Cup stamp sets along with the Happiness In A Cup die set to create this fun gift set today.  I made a card and a matching k-cup holder.  I thought that this would make a perfect little treat for a coffee loving friend!

I'm having so much fun with this new release!  These stamps are perfect for paper piecing.  Not sure if you've noticed over that past few days...but I have an addiction to pattern papers and lots of layers on my cards!!

I found a tutorial over on Pinterest on how to create this fun k-cup holder.  I made a few alterations and decorated it to coordinate with my card.  You can find the tutorial HERE.

Welcome back to Day 3 of Verve's July Release Spotlight Hops!  The Verve Divas and special guests are back for another day of spotlighting our new release! Today we're sharing projects featuring the Fill My Cup stamp set. This set also coordinates with the Happiness in a Cup Die Set that we shared yesterday.  I just happen to love coordinating die sets and this set is so fun to create your own accents on your cards

For my first card I used the Sweet Scallop Tag Die to stamp my sentiment on for my focal point.  I then used a few layers of pattern papers to help create a sweet backdrop for my tag.  For my finishing touch I paper pieced the sweet little mug and added a wood veneer accent.

For my second project I created a square Thank You card (4 1/2" x 4 1/2") using the new stamps and dies sets along with scraps that I had on my desk from creating my first card.  I've been challenging myself to create more that one card at a time to help build up my card stash.  Plus you can NEVER have to many thank you cards on hand.

Today we're sharing projects featuring the Happiness Is stamp set and coordinating Happiness in a Cup Die Set.  These sets are filled with HAPPINESS and are perfect for your Coffee Creations!!

For my first project I created a card with lots of layers and yummy papers that made me think of the Coffee with a splash of cream!  Love how the color Crumb Cake totally makes me think of COFFEE.  I also had a little fun by paper piecing the sweet little mug in this set.

For my second project I created a coordinating Gift Card Holder. It was super simple to create.  The base of the holder measures 7 1/2" x 4". On the 7 1/4" side you score at 2 1/4" & 5 1/4".  Adhere sides with adhesive (make sure gift card fits).  The belly band is 1" x 7" and I wrapped it around the holder and used a glue dot to adhere it to it's self to allow it to be removed.  Then I decorated it to coordinate with my card.

Verve Guest Diva & July 2017 Release Spotlight Hops - Day 1

Welcome to Verve's July Release Spotlight Hops! A new release is just around the corner and for the next few days we'll be shining our creative spotlights on the new Verve sets and dies releasing Monday, July 10.

Today we are sharing inspiration featuring the new Always Time stamp set and coordinating Kettle Time Die Set. Check out the Verve Blog post today for the full hop list, prize details, reveals and a little more on this fun new set.

I love creating Coffee themed projects and this newest release is filled with fabulous stamps sets and coordinating dies that won't disappoint!!  For my first project I created a card using rich patterned papers that made me immediately think of COFFEE.  I created my focal point by stamping on the Tagged Rectangle Die and added a finishing touch by doing one of my favorite techniques...paper piecing.  As you can see I did this to one of the sweet little coffee cups that are included in the set along with the Coffee word die previously released.

I also love to create matching gift packaging for my cards and thought this would be perfect for putting a gift card to the recipients favorite coffee.  I used the same papers and design from my card to make them coordinate into a special little gift set.
