My card features the Stellar Snowflake stencil and a sentiment from the Festive Flowers stamp set. This is defiantly a card that could be mass produced.

Gina K. Designs | April 2021 Monthly Mix Challenge

 Playing along with this months Monthly Mix Challenge over on the Gina K. Designs blog. Rema DeLeeuw is the hostess and she is challenging us to use Die-Cut Sentiments. You can find all the challenge details and how to play along HERE.

For my card I used the Lace Flowers stamp set from the Forever Flowers Card Kit. I started off with a little ink blending using Sea Glass, Turquoise Sea, Tranquil Tea, and Blue Denim. Next I stamped the large floral image from the stamp set using Amalgam Obsidian ink. I then added the Birthday and Shadow Die from the kit along with embossing the Wishes sentiment from the set.  For embellishment I scattered a few Clear Dew Drops.

A NEW Monthly Mix Challenge has started over on the Gina K. Designs blog!  I'm hosting this months challenge and it's called "Love is in the Air".  You just need to create a card or project with a LOVE theme (Valentine, Anniversary, Wedding, etc.).  You can find all the details HERE.

 

For my sample I created a CAS (clean and simple) Valentine. I used the LOVE CAPS die set along with the heart from the Single Stitched Circle die set.  The sentiment is from the Friendship Hearts stamp set.

Card Measurements:

Card Base: 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" (5 1/2" x 7", scored at 3 1/2")

White Layer: 5 1/8" x 3 1/8"

Red Strip: 5 1/8" x 1 1/4"

The challenge is to create a card using Red as your dominate color along with making it a celebratory theme (birthday, anniversary, milestones).  For my entry I created a CAS (clean and simple) birthday card featuring the Better Together incentive stamp set along with a sentiment from the Sketchy Wreath Builder stamp set.

 A NEW Monthly Mix Challenge has started over on the Gina K. Designs blog!  This months hostess is Karen Hightower and she is challenging us with a fun "Tic Tac Toe" Challenge.  You can find all the challenge details HERE.

 

For my card I picked the first row down (Circle Die, Heat Embossing & Vellum). I used the NEW Tag Trio and Snowflake Trio die sets along with a sentiment from the Sentimental Holiday stamp set to create a focal point. The background is made up of several layers: White & Gold card stock from my stash, a piece of vellum, and a gold glitter card stock circle that I cut out with a die.

Card Measurements:

A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

Gold & White Striped Card Stock: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

There's still a few days to join this months Monthly Mix Challenge over on the Gina K. Designs blog!  This months hostess is Arjita Singh and she is challenging us with a Tag on a Card along with a Red and White color challenge. You can find all the details HERE.

 

For my sample I used some of the goodies out from the October 2020 Release. The good news is that the contents from the Sparkle & Shine Kit will be added to the stores as they come back in stock as individual items.  My sample contains 3 items from the kit (Ornamental Snowflakes stamp set, Tag Trio die set and Snowflake Trio die set).  Last I heard the first batch of items are scheduled to be added to the store this week so make sure to keep a look out and they can be found in the What's New Category in the store.

I kept my card CAS (Clean and simple) and just used the colors and lots of layers for dimension. It's heard to see in the photo but the background layer was dry embossed with the Snow Fall stencil for even more texture.

Gina K. Designs | November 2020 Monthly Mix Challenge

Gina K. Designs | October 2020 Monthly Mix Challenge

  A NEW Monthly Mix Challenge has started over on the Gina K. Designs blog!  This months hostess is Rema DeLeeuw and she is challenging us with a "Color Blocking" technique.  You can find all the challenge details HERE.

 

For my sample I created blocks of color using Honey Mustard and Warm Cocoa card stock embossed with the Echo Park Fall is in the Air embossing folder. For the stamping I used three colors on the leaves. I first inked up the leaf from the *Autumn Silhouettes stamp set with Honey Mustard, then I added a little Prickly Pear on the right side, and some Warm Cocoa on the stem and center. I used ink cubes for this one to make inking a little easier plus I wasn't very worried about cross contaminating the pads. I then stamped the sentiment from the *Haunts and Harvest set with Charcoal Brown. For embellishment I added some little clay hearts from my stash.

*If you missed getting the Festive Fall Card Kit not to worry as the kit pieces will be available individually at the next release on October 19th at 7:00 PM CT.

For my sample I pulled out the beautiful Layered Leaf Prints stamp sets along with a few of my favorite Autumn ink colors (Charcoal Brown, Kraft, Faded Brick & Honey Mustard) to create my own pattern paper.  I started from lightest to darkest as I randomly stamped the leaves.  The sentiment is from the Thankful and Blessed stamp set.
