Simon Says Stamps STAMPtember® 2026 is my favorite time of the year! If this is your first time hearing about the event, it's a MONTH long celebration that includes new releases, special collaborations with your favorite stamping companies along with lots of surprises and giveaways! It's basically Christmas for us crafters!!

 

 I'm super excited to have been invited to showcase today's collaboration set with Whimsy Stamps. Let me introduce you to the NEW Owl-o-ween stamp set. This set is perfect for creating all types of Halloween projects with those ADORABLE owls all dressed up and ready to go trick-or-treating!

 

 

I created a SPOOKY CUTE background to feature my trick-or-treaters from the NEW Owl-o-ween stamp set. 

 

Card Measurements:

White A2 Card Base: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" (5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4")

Black Mat Panel: 5 1/4" x 4"

Peridot Glimmered/Ink Blended Panel: 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"

Black Strip: 5 1/8" x 1 1/4"

Black Gauze: 5 1/2" x 2 1/4"  (Tim Holtz idea-ology/Retired

Black Circle:1 3/4"

Black Bats: 1" x 3/8" (left & right), 7/8" x 1/2" (middle)

Sentiment Die Cut: 3/4" x 1/4" (happy), 1 1/2" x 1/4" (owl-o-ween)

 

Steps to Create Card:

• Create White A2 Landscape Card Base measuring: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" (5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4").
• Cut Black Mat Panel measuring: 5 1/4" x 4". 
• Take Peridot card stock measuring 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" and ink blend Jelly Bean Green and Fresh Asparagus ink around the edges leaving the center light.
• Glimmer Hot Foil Peridot Panel you just inked with Spider Web Background Plate with Black Foil. Touch up ink blending and then add a very light hand of black ink to darken the edges.
• Cut Black Strip measuring: 5 1/8" x 1 1/4".
• Die Cut Black Circle measuring: 1 3/4". 
• Stamp Owls using Owl-o-ween stamp set and color with the color medium of your choice. I used Copic Markers. You can then use the coordinating die set or fussy cut them out.
• Assemble card. 
• For Embellishment, die cut 3 Black Bats from Drac Die Set and add Black Onyx Gems. You can also add Glaze 'N Glue to the Owls noises, Diamond Stickles to the Star and highlights with a gel pen.
