It's time for us to share the next Hues of Color over at the Color Hues Challenge Blog! The colors that have been chosen for you to create with are Blue and Yellow for the next two weeks! We can't wait to see how you are inspired!
I created a "Thanks" card featuring a mix of Spellbinders die sets - Vintage Florals (S4-1328), Heartfelt Thanks (S5-616) and Basic Borders (S6-206).
Card Measurements:
White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
Vellum Panel: 3 3/8" x 4 9/16"
White Scallop Panel: 3" x 4 1/4"
Steps to Create Card:
- Create White A2 Top Fold Card Base measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
- Cut Vellum Panel measuring:3 3/8" x 4 9/16"
- Die Cut White Scallop Rectangle Panel measuring: 3" x 4 1/4" using Heartfelt Thanks (S5-616).
- Die Cut Florals using Vintage Florals (S4-1328) using White, Whisper, Lemon Drop and Powder Blue card stock. Add ink highlight with Prickly Pear (Lemon Drop), Blue Denim (Powder Blue) and Pebble (Whisper) ink. Assemble florals.
- Die Cut Zig Zag Strips using Basic Borders (S6-206) with White, Whisper, Lemon Drop, Powder Blue and Blue Denim. Create background by directly attaching to White card base.
- Die Cut "Thanks" sentiment using Heartfelt Thanks (S5-616) with Vellum and Lemon Drop card stock. Add ink highlights with Prickly Pear ink.
- Assemble card.
- Embellish with Bumble Bee Pearl Mix.
