Spellbinders NEW September 2024 Arrivals are NOW available and can be found in the store HERE. Today I'm sharing a card featuring the NEW Winter's Grace Garden Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. Susan shares videos over on the Spellbinders YouTube Channel on how to bring these florals to life.
My card features the NEW Black Alder (S4-1362). As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to create a holiday card and paired it with the Holly & Foliage 3D Embossing Folder (E3D-060).
White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
White Embossed Panel: 3 3/4" x 5"
Red Foiled Sentiment Banner: 2 7/8" x 3/8"
OLO Marksers Used:
Leaves: YG8.5, YG8.7
Branch: OR3.8
Steps to Create Card:
- Create White A2 Top Fold Card Base measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
- Die Cut White Panel measuring: 3 3/4" x 5" using Precision Layering A2 A (S5-487). Emboss Panel using Holly & Foliage 3D Embossing Folder (E3D-060).
- Die Cut Black Alder (S4-1362) using Canson Watercolor Paper. You will need 2 Large and 2 Small. Add color with OLO Markers YG8.5, YG8.7, and OR3.8. Use Susan's Garden Ultimate Tool Kit (T-021) to add veins and shape. In Susan's video she adds Glaze to the leaves, I took an old paint brush and used Glaze 'n Glue (SCS-143).
- For Berries I used Red Pearls.
- Foil " Merry Christmas" sentiment using Mistletoe Greeting (BP-199) on Red Hot card stock with Opaque White Foil (GLF-049).
- Assemble card.
- Embellish with Sparkling Clear Sequins.

Winter's Grace Garden
Beautiful card. After seeing it I went ahead and ordered the die. I'm not familiar with Glaze and Glue. Is it basically the same as Glossy Accents? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteValarie, it is a similar product to Glossy Accents. I squired the gloss out onto a paper dish and then painted it on and let dry.
