It's time for us to share the next Hues of Color over at the Color Hues Challenge Blog! The colors that have been chosen for you to create with are Rust and Green for the next two weeks! We can't wait to see how you are inspired!
My card features the Layered Carnations Stencil from Gina K. Designs with Tomato Soup and Faded Brick ink as my take on the "Rust" color. The sentiment is from the Blooming Sunflower Mini Stamp & Die (Blooming Sunflower Mini Stamp set is the current Incentive Set and free with any $75 purchase and the coordinating die is available for separate purchase).
Faded Brick A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
Black Mat: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8" - Master Layout #2
White Stitched Panel: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" - Master Layout #2
Birthday Wishes Sentiment: 2 5/16" x 1/2"
Steps to Create Card:
- Create Faded Brick A2 Top Fold Card Base measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
- Die Cut Black Mat measuring: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8" using Master Layout #2.
- Cut White A2 Panel measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and use Layered Carnations Stencil with Tomato Soup, Faded Brick, Jelly Bean Green and Fresh Asparagus ink. Trim panel to measure: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" using Master Layout #2. Add Black Paint Splatters using Black Soot Distress Paint. Set panel aside to dry.
- Stamp and Heat Emboss "Birthday Wishes" Sentiment using Blooming Sunflower stamp set with Embossing Ink and Detail White Embossing Powder. Die Cut with coordinating die.
- Assemble card.
- Embellish with Clear Quartz Sequins.
