Today's card features the NEW Messy Marks Background stamp from Creative Worship by Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps March 2024 Release. I love that these background stamps help create quick & easy background panels with a bit of ink blending and a few splatters.

I create a card for DAD featuring the NEW Messy Marks Background stamp along with the Dad Word Die (hurry, this die is retiring!) and a sub sentiment from the Sentimental Wordfetti stamp set.

Card Measurements:

White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/5" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

Black Mat: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" - Master Layout 1

Powder Blue Ink Blended/Stamped Panel: 3 3/4" x 5" - Master Layout 1

Black Mat Strip: 3 3/4" x 1 3/4"

Silver Metallic Strip: 3 3/4" x 1 5/8"

Dad Word Die: 3 5/8" x 15/16"

Sentiment Strip: 1 3/16" x 1/4"

Steps to Create Card:

Create White A2 Top Fold Card Base measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/5" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
Die Cut Black Mat measuring: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" using Master Layout 1.
Cut Powder Blue A2 Panel measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and ink blend with Power Blue, Blue Denim and In the Navy ink. Stamp Messy Marks Background with Blue Denim ink. I used a Misti stamping tool as I had to stamp multiple times. Die Cut panel to 3 3/4" x 5" using Master Layout 1. Touch up any ink blending and add paint splatters with Black Soot & Brushed Pewter Distress Paint.
Cut Black Strip Mat measuring: 3 3/4" x 1 3/4".
Cut Silver Metallic Strip measuring: 3 3/4" x 1 5/8".
Die Cut 3 Dad's using Dad Word Die and Black card stock. Stack & glue them together to make your own embellishment.
Stamp and emboss the "You're Awesome" sentiment from the Sentimental Wordfetti stamp set with white embossing powder on black card stock.
Assemble card.
Embellish with Black Enamel Dots.
