Color Hues Color Challenge #81 | Hello Sweet Friend

PRODUCT LINKS BELOW CONTAIN COMPENSATED AFFILIATE LINKS AT NO COST

It's time for us to share the next Hues of Color over at the Color Hues Challenge Blog! The colors that have been chosen for you to create with are Lilac and Mint for the next two weeks! We can't wait to see how you are inspired!

Here's my take...

My card features Gina K. Designs Lovely Flowers Stamp, Die and Stencil from the Hello Lovely Card Kit. The kit is sold out but these pieces will be offered individually in the store the first part of March when they are back in stock.

Card Measurements:
White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
Wild Lilac Mat: 3 15/16" x 5 1/16"
Scallop Rectangle: 3 7/8" x 4 15/16"

Steps to Create Card:
  • Create White A2 Top Fold Card measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
  • Cut Wild Lilac Mat measuring: 3 15/16" x 5 1/16".
  • Die Cut White Scallop panel from Master Layout #4 measuring: 3 7/8" x 5 1/16".
  • Cut 1/2 sheet of White card stock measuring: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". With the aide of a stamping positioner, stamp the large floral image from Lovely Flowers stamp set with a light gray ink. I found starting with a larger size paper gave me room to work. Do not remove the stamp, you will be restamping the image.
  • Take the stamped panel and use coordinating Lovely Flowers Stencils to ink blend the layers. For the flowers use Light, Medium and Dark Lilac. For the leaves use Light, Medium and Dark Spruce.
  • Take stamped panel and put back in your stamp positioner and make sure it is lined up and stamp in Black ink to make it pop. Make sure image is dry before proceeding.
  • Die Cut image. The Wild Lilac panel and floral spray are both popped up with foam tape.
  • Take Scalloped panel and use Masking Magic Strips to mask of the area around the stitching so you can ink blend the left portion with Light Lilac ink.
  • Assemble Card.
  • Stamp sentiment in upper right corner with the aide of the stamp positioner.
  • Embellish with Clear Quartz Sequins.
