I'm super excited to announce a NEW Collaboration Release between Gina K. Designs and ThermOWeb! Gina has created a super adorable card kit called Penguin Pals Card Kit
and it includes a coordinating 4" x 6" stamp set, 19 piece die set, 6" x 6" stencil, 3 packs of
Fancy Foil (Glittering Green, Radiant Red & Brilliant Blue), Plush Paper (2 sheets of White Latte and 2 sheets of Black Velvet) and 1 pack of Toner Card Fronts. This kit is an EXCLUSIVE card kit and
only available for purchase over on the ThermOWeb website.
I created two projects to share with you tonight featuring the NEW Penguin Pals Card Kit along with a few other supplies that I will link below.
My first project is a fun card featuring the Penguin Pals Card Kit along with Master Layouts 2 and Master Layouts 6. I started off creating my back ground panel with a piece of Layering Weight White and Powder Blue, Blue Denim and In the Navy inks. I started from Lightest to darkest and kept the center light as I then took the stencil and Powder Blue ink. The background panel and trees have ink splattering for added texture.
Next I die cut and assemble the adorable penguin. He's super easy to assemble and the flock they included helps create a fuzzy textured penguin. Once all your pieces have been created you can assemble your little scene. For finishing touches I die cut a few of the little snow flakes and added some white pearls.
Heavy Weight White Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
Black Onyx Mat: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8" - Master Layout #2
Layering Weight White Stitched Panel: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" - Master Layout #2
Layering Weight White Snow Banks: : 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" (top), 3 1/2" x 1 1/2" (back) - Master Layout # 6
My second project featuring the Penguin Pals Card Kit is a Tag/Card that can be tied onto a package or used as a shaped card. I used the largest die from the Tag Trio set. If you have never created a shaped card you just need to cut two of the shapes and you need to score a 1/2" on one of the pieces and add strong adhesive and you attach it to the back of the tag with both pretty sides up to create the card base.
I basically did the same as above but in a smaller scale. The background of the tag is ink blended with Sea Glass ink before the ink splatters are added. Instead of foil I created hit hat and scarf with Red Hot card stock. The had does use the White Latte Flock for the around the trim and ball of the hat.
Heavy Weight White Tag/Card: 3 1/8" x 5" - Tag Trio Die
Layering Weight White Snow Banks: 3 1/8" x 1 3/4" (top), 3 1/8" x 2 3/8" (back) - Master Layout #6
Here's another look from the side.
