I created a FUN shaped card featuring the NEW Merry & Bright (RSC-015) stamp set from the House-Mouse Holiday Collection. I first cut out a panel using the NEW Notched Corner Frames die (S5-602) and stamped the Mischievous Muzzy Mouse with alchol friendly ink and used my Copic markers to color. I then stamped the sentiment with VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne ink for a crisp stamping.
Steps to Create Shaped Card:
Next I created the shaped card base by (1) cut 2 white panels and 1 pattern paper panel with the Notched Corner Frames die (S5-602) larger than the stamped panel. (2) Score the top of the panel to create a hinge. (3) Add strong adhesive to the area above the score line. (4) Adhere the pattern paper panel to the white panel that doesn't have adhesive. (5) Adhere the Top Panel with paper paper to the bottom scored panel to create card base.
Here's a close up of the finish card! Hope you will give this technique a try if you have never done it before. I love making shaped cards and it will still fit into a standard A2 envelope.
Card Measurements:
White Notched Card Base: 3 7/8" x 5"
Pattern Paper Panel: 3 7/8" x 5"
White Notched Panel:3 1/2" x 4 1/2"
Copic Markers:
String of Lights: YG67, YG63 and R24 (Glaze and Glue added to Lights)
Mischievous Muzzy Mouse: E51, E50 and E93 (Skin) and W6, W5 and W3 (Fur)
