The August Monthly Mix challenge has started over on the Gina K. Designs blog! I'm this months hostess and am challenging you to "Add Texture" to your card. You can find more details and how to join the fun, HERE.

My card features the Fluttering Fall Layering Stencil Bundle along with a sentiment from the NEW Bold Bloom incentive stamp set. For my sample I included THREE types of texture: Dry Embossing with embossing folders, Heat Embossing for my sentiment and the flowers are arranged and popped up with foam tape for added dimension/texture. All products used are linked below.

Card Measurements:

Heavy Weight White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

Tranquil Teal Mat: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" - Master Layout 1

Layering Weight White Panel:3 3/4" x 5" - Master Layout 1/Lattice EF

Tranquil Teal Strip: 2" x 5"

Sea Glass Strip: 1 7/8" x 5" - Swiss Dot EF

Tranquil Teal Oval: 2 5/8" x 3 5/8" - Single Stitched Oval

Layering Weight White Oval: 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" - Double Stitched Oval

Black Onyx Sentiment Strip: 1 3/4" x 5/16" - Sentiment Strips

Steps to Create Card:

Cut/Score white A2 Top Fold Card Base (Heavy Weight White): 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2".
Cut Tranquil Teal Mat: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8", use largest rectangle die in Master Layout 1.
Cut white panel (Layering Weight White): 3 3/4" x 5", use smaller rectangle die Master Layout 1. Then emboss with Lattice Embossing Folder.
Cut Tranquil Teal Strip Mat: 2" x 5".
Cut Sea Glass Strip: 1 7/8" x 5". Then emboss with Swiss Dot Embossing Folder.
Cut Tranquil Teal Oval Mat: 2 5/8" x 3 5/8", use middle oval from the Single Stitched Oval die set.
Cut White Oval (Layering Weight White): 2 1/2" x 3 1/2", use middle oval from the Double Stitched Oval die Set.
Stamp sentiment using embossing ink and white embossing powder on a scrap of Black Onyx card stock and cut out with the Sentiment Strips die set.
Cut out 2 floral sprigs from the Foliage Filler die set using Tranquil Teal card stock.
Now it's time to take the stencil from the Fluttering Fall Layering Stencil Bundle and create your floral pieces. For the flowers I used Sea Glass, Turquoise Sea, and Tranquil Teal. I stamped the flower center accent with Black Onyx ink. For the leaves I used Jelly Bean Green and Fresh Asparagus. Next use the coordinating dies from the bundle to cut your pieces out.
Assemble Card (foam tape/squares are optional but add to the dimension/texture when used).
For embellishment I added a few Clear Quartz Sequins using a Jewel Picker and Connect Glue.
