Here's my take...
To create my Valentine mini slimline I pulled out the NEW Sealed With a Kiss stamp set from Gina K. Designs and picked the SWAK sentiment to use as my focal point by embossing it in white on a piece of black onyx card stock. The lips are from the Timeless Beauty stamp set. Unfortunately, it was recently retired. I did see that you can still grab the coordinating die in the clearance section for $5. Never hurts to see if one of the GKD Retailers may still have it in stock.
Back to the card...Notice the heart background? It's not an embossing folder! I used a technique I like to call faux embossing to create it. I cut out a bunch of hearts using the little heart die from the Sealed With a Kiss coordinating die set. You then randomly attach them to your card stock (to make it easy I first ran my strips of card stock through my Xyron sticker maker to add adhesive before cutting out the hearts). I then took the stitched die from Master Layouts 7 and cut out my finish card panel. For embellishment I added twine and a few confetti sequin.
Faux Embossing is a great way to create your own "Embossed" background plus use up those scraps. If you haven't already tried this technique I hope you will!
