I created a beautiful winter themed birthday card featuring the Spectacular Snowflakes and Everyday Greetings 2 stamp sets.

Steps to create card:
  • Cut White A2 Top Fold card base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
  • Cut Gold Mat: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8". For mat I actually cut a piece of white card stock and embossed the edges of the panel with gold embossing powder but you can use a piece of gold card stock.
  • Cut Plum Panel: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" to stamp on.
  • Cut Vellum Strip for Sentiment: 4 1/2" x 1 1/2".
  • Take the plum panel and randomly stamped one of the snowflake images from the Spectacular Snowflakes stamp set and then embossed them with gold embossing powder. I then took two shades of ink (plum punch and edible eggplant) and lightly ink blended around the edges of the panel.
  • Take Vellum strip and stamp sentiment from the Everyday Greetings 2 stamp set with embossing ink and emboss with gold embossing powder. To attach the strip, wrap around the panel so you can attach it from the back so no adhesive will show.
  • Assemble card.
  • For embellishment I added a few gold sequins.
