My Card features the NEW Pinecone Background stamp and a sentiment from an older set called, Poinsettia Greetings. Here's how I created it.
- Stamp the Pinecone Background onto a piece of red card stock using embossing ink and emboss with gold embossing powder.
- Ink blend the edges of the panel with red and dark brown ink. The brown adds the richness but make sure to use a very light hand and only blend around the outer edges.
- Emboss the "Season Greetings" sentiment from the Poinsettia Greetings stamp set onto a strip of vellum and wrap around red panel and attach from the back.
- The Gold Mat was created by embossing the edges of a piece of white card stock. You only need to emboss approx 1/2" around the card stock as only the very outer edges will show. This allows for a perfect match ing the golds.
- Assemble Card. I used foam tape to pop up panel onto the card base (this step is optional).
- For embellishment I added a few gold sequins.
I love the elegance of the design but this could easily be a mass produced card for the holidays.
Card Measurements:
A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
Gold Mat: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Red Panel: 3 3/4" x 5"
Vellum Strip: 4 1/2" x 1" (wrapped around red panel)
