Happy Saturday Everyone! Today over at Kat Scrappiness we are having a small release and adding a bunch of NEW Shaker Card Kits to the store!! You can find all the new shapes in the store HERE.
I have a card featuring the NEW Goldfish Shaker Card Kit to share. They are super easy to put together and such a fun way to create an interactive card design!
Steps to Create Card:
- Cut Square Card Base: 5" x 5" (5" x 10", scored at 5")
- Cut Kraft Mat: 5" x 4 1/4"
- Cut Sea Glass Layer: 5" x 4 1/8" and emboss to add a little texture (I used the Geometric Shapes embossing folder by Recollections) then I added two embossed lines with my Scor-buddy before stamping the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Everyday Brush Strokes stamp set with In The Navy ink.
- Cut a White Scallop Border Strip 5" wide and then add color using Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber ink.
- Now it's time to work with your shaker kit. I first added color to the Goldfish using a Distress Blending Tool and Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber ink. I wanted a white background to my fish so I traced my foam piece and created a bottom layer to build my shaker kit on. Next I put together the kit and filled the shaker well with Breezy Summer Sequins Mix.
- Assemble the card.
- For embellishment I added a pearl from the Carolina Blue Pear Mix for an eye and a few Sparkling Clear Droplets for water bubbles.
