Color Hue Challenge #14

It's time for a NEW challenge over on the Color Hues Blog!  We are challenging you to use the colors Black & White!

For monochromatic color schemes I immediately think masculine and sympathy cards. I thought that I would create a sympathy/encouragement card since they are no fun to make but occasionally needed.

I used the NEW Spring Tulips mini stamp set from Gina K. Designs. I kept the design clean and added a pattern paper and used grey as an accent color. The image is stamped with black in and the sentiment is heat embossed in white .

Card Measurements:
Black A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
Grey Mat: 4" x 5 1/4"
Black Mat: 3 3/4" x 5"
Polka Dot Pattern Paper: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
Black Mat: 3 3/4" x 2 5/8"
White Layer: 3 3/4" x 2 1/2"
Grey Strip: 3 3/4" x 1/8"
Black Scallop Border: 3 3/4" x 3/16"
Black Sentiment Strip: 2 13/16 x 1/4"

  2. I love your card, Sheri! I have tried to order the Double Edge Scalloped Border from Reverse Confetti and it was always out. I wrote asking if it would ever be back in stock, and they responded they were trying to decide whether to retire it or not. Makes me sad they would do that. I would think it would be a great seller. I'll keep looking for a similar one. Thank you for all of your inspiration in creating cards.
