Gina K. Designs: August 2020 Release Blog Hop - Day 1

Now onto today's inspiration! We are featuring THREE brand new sets!

The first set is called Beautiful Butterflies and is illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger. This set also has a coordinating die set available.

I created a CAS (clean and simple) card by first cutting a stitched panel with the NEW Master Layouts 2 die set and ink blended it with the Fizzy stencil from the NEW Peace, Love and Sushi card kit. I then stamped the butterfly with Amalgam Obsidian ink and ink blended with the same colors I used for the stencil (Tangerine Twist, Wild Dandelion and Lucky Clover).

Card Measurements:
A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
Black Mat: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8" - Master Layouts 2 Die
White Stitched Layer: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" - Master Layouts 2 Die

The second set is called Wildflowers and Weeds and is illustrated by Lisa Hetrick. This set also has a coordinating die set.

I created another CAS (clean and simple) card. I first stamped the wheel directly onto the card stock so I could build an arrangement on it. I stamped a bunch of the different floral images and cut them out with the coordinating die set. I then played around with arranging them and once I liked it I added foam squares and attached them. For a final touch I added an embossed sentiment strip and a few sequins for some sparkle.

Card Measurements:
A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
White Layer: 3 15/16" x 5 3/16"
Black Sentiment Strip: 2" x 3/8"

The third set is called Grow Positive Thoughts and is illustrated by Hannah Drapinski.

For my final card sample I created a bright & fun ink to paper background. I took five ink cubes and dragged them down the card panel. I was going for a abstract painting look.

Black Mat: 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamped Layer: 3 7/8" x 5 1/16"
