Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps | July 2019 Release Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY

Welcome to the Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps June 2019 Release Blog Hop!  If you haven't shopped or seen the release yet you can find it in the shop HERE.

We are so excited about the NEW stamps available in the shop this month and can't wait to share the projects we've been working on with you!

My first card features the NEW Over the Moon stamp set!  This set is by our newest illustrator, Jennifer Nilsson.  She has not only done it again with another cute set but she has two adorable NEW sets in this months release!!

 Instructions:
  • For the background I created a faux galaxy background by first starting with a piece of dark blue card stock measuring 5 1/4" 4" and ink blending the edges with black dye ink.  I then added some black & white paint splatters.
  • For the "Love you to the Moon & Back" sentiment, I stamped with VersaMark ink and embossed it with detail white embossing powder.
  • The cute little moon I created was with a 3 3/8" circle die cut in half.  You then take different sized circle dies or punches to create the "Swiss Cheese" detail.  I also lightly ink blended around with circles with the coordinating ink to give it a little detail.  I glued the plain circle half directly to the card base and popped the detail piece with foam squares.
  • Stamp images from the Over the Moon set and color with your favorite color medium.
  • Fussy cut images and create your desired scene on your card front.
  • Embellished the spacesuit helmet with glossy accents to create the fun protective cover.
  • Finished card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" (A2 size).

My next card features Jennifer's second set this month...it's called Fin-tastic Friends!!

 Instructions:
  • Create a Circle card base.  Cut two 4" Circles in teal card stock.  Take one of the circles and score across about 1/2" from top to create a hinge, add a piece of 1/4" double sided tape, then attach it to the second circle to create card base.
  • Cut a 3 1/2" white circle.  You can then stamp & color images from the Fin-tastitc Friends stamp set to create your underwater scene. Some of the images can be fussy cut and popped up with foam squares for added dimension.
  • For  a fun touch I added googly eyes and glossy accents for the water bubbles.

  6. I love everything about this card! I particularly like how instead of using both blue and black ink for the background, you started with blue paper and used black ink around it.

  8. I really appreciate all the attention to detail I see in these cards, especially the space card where you've fashioned craters on the moon and a "plastic shield" for the astronaut's helmet! 😊 Both cards are fantastic and have great sentiments that touch the heart!
