My first card features a cake & birthday sentiment panel from the Birthday Essentials Foil-Mates Sentiments set.  I cut the image out using the Foil-Mates Rectangle Large set and foiled it with Turquoise Sea Foil-Mates Fancy Foil.  I also cut a background panel from the Polka Party Foil-Mates and a strip of the stripe from the Stars & Stripes Foil-Mates.  They were all foiled Turquoise Sea.  The fun part is that they all match to the Turquoise Pure Luxury Cardstock perfectly.  For an embellishment I cut out the flowers that are included in box the Square Foil-Mates Die Sets.  If you haven't tried foiling yet....you need to!!

My next card shows that you don't have to foil the entire card.  I actually only foiled the top panel using Turquoise Sea Fancy Foil.  Foil-Mates can be used like designer paper and don't have to be foiled.  So you have the option to foil just a background or sentiment on your projects.  Do you see that star panel??  It's a faux embossed.  I cut a bunch of the stars using the star dies in the Large Rectangle Foil-Mates Die set and randomly glued them to the panel for added texture to my invitation.  All layers are popped up to for added dimension and I embellished with twine and enamel dots.
