The Pink Elephant Challenge #244 | Lil' Monster Gretchen

We are challenging you with a

"Chalkboard"

I had a lot of FUN with this one as it's completely faux since I used a digital image from By LORi Designs called Lil' Monster Gretchen.  I knew that I wanted to try something a little different with this challenge but wasn't sure how to change the outline color from black to white on a digital image.  I went to my sweet friend, Arielle Gordon, for some help.  She told me that I needed to just create an "Inverse" of the image.

This can be done in Photoshop by click shift+control+I.  Unfortunately, I don't have PS yet so I tried it in Gimp.  You just need to Open the image, Click on the little Lasso icon, Right click, Colors, Invert.  Since your working with black ink and not card stock, I just took a piece of removable tape to remove bits of the ink to give it that chalkboard effect.  I also used white chalk on the background and sentiment.

Supplies:
Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White CS, Black CS, Pink Pirouette CS (SU!), Polka Dot DP (Making Memories); Stamps: Lil' Monster Gretchen (By LORi Designs), Tiny Tags (Papertrey); Ink: Versa Mark; Tools: Arrows EF (SU!), Scallop Border Punch (Fiskars), Circle Punches; Other: White Embossing Powder (Hero Arts), Chalk, Ribbon, Enamel Dots, Removable Tape, Foam Tape

Make sure to stop by The Pink Elephant Blog to see what Ella's Girls have been up to AND over to By LORi Designs tomorrow for more cute BLD Creations!!

Happy Stamping!!
