I used this weeks MOJO Monday sketch and for Verve's Project Parade Challenge we are to provide some Divine Details on our process. Well for me, for the last few months I have been starting with either a Sketch or Challenge. Then I select my Stamps or Images that I would like to use. Next is my paper selections and more than likely will be using my copics so I pick the proper matches. Finally I like to EMBELLISH. My all time favorite embellishments are anything BLING!! I am pretty consistent with my style, there are usually lots of layers, use of nestabilities, something punched, and I use TONS of foam tape for dimension. I have every size pop dot but I love using foam tape so I can cut it to the size I need and can stack them for higher depth if needed. Thanks for stopping in and have a Divine Friday!! :D
I would like to point out a trick that I learned from my Mom last weekend with the circle nestie. (By the way, my Mom and our friend Virginia are the ones that got me hooked on stamping and taught me tons of stuff...THANK YOU!!) Do you see the brown ring around the circle. That was created by double cutting the circle. I think it adds just that bit of color without the bulk of a full layer. This was created by cutting a brown circle out of the same size as my cream circle. You leave the cut image in the nestie and then insert the next size down into the shape from the back. You may want to use some repositional tape to keep the two nesties from moving. You then run it through your diecut machine again and you will now have the ring to match your shape. I hope that made sense...please let me know if you have any questions.
