I'm back today to share a Valentine card I created featuring Spellbinders NEW Love on the Rocks Collection from the December NEW Arrivals. This is a small collection that consists of one die set and two BetterBress Plates.  

Card Measurements:

White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

Innocent Pink Embossed A2 Panel: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

White Foiled Sentiment: 2 1/16" x 5/8"

 

Steps to Create Card:

• Create White A2 Top Fold Card Base measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
• Cut Innocent Pink A2 Panel measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Emboss panel using Tiny Heart Scallop 3D Embossing Folder of the Month (3EOM-DEC24). 
• Die Cut 2 Glasses using Love on the Rocks (S6-668) with White, Chocolate Truffle, Red Hot, Cherry Red, Jelly Bean Green and Metallic Gold card stock. Add ink highlights to strawberries using Fresh Asparagus and Chocolate Truffle ink. Assemble glasses and strawberries.
• Hot Foil "Sending A Toast To A Love-Filled Day" using Valentine Happy Hour Sentiments (BP-257) with Gold Foil (GLF-014) and White card stock. Die cut with coordinating die.
• Assemble card.
• Embellish with Red & White Twine, Red Pearls, and add Highlights with White Gel Pen to the hearts and Strawberries.

Drum roll...behind Door Number 24 is a cute little Suitcase Die (S1-135 W24). For my sample I created a masculine card perfect for retirement.

 

Card Measurements:

White Notched Corner Frame Card Base: 3 7/8" x 4 15/16" (3 7/8" x 9 15/16", scored at 4 15/16")

Latte Notched Corner Frame Panel: 3 7/8" x 4 15/16"

Portobello Notched Corner Frame Embossed Panel: 3 1/2" x 4 1/2"

Latte Sentiment Mat: 2 1/16" x 1/2"

Portobello Sentiment Strip: 2 15/16" x 3/8"

Steps to Create Card:

• Create White Notched Corner Frame shaped card base measuring: 3 7/8" x 4 15/16" using Notched Corner Frames (S5-602). Start off by creating a white top folded card base measuring: 3 7/8" x 4 15/16" (3 7/8" x 9 15/16", scored at 4 15/16"). Then take the Notched Corner die measuring: 3 7/8" x 4 15/16" and lay it over the center of the card base with the top slightly above top fold to prevent it from cutting out a solid arch. 
• Die Cut Latte Notched Corner Frame Panel: 3 7/8" x 4 15/16".
• Die Cut Portobello Notched Corner Frame Embossed Panel: 3 1/2" x 4 1/2". Emboss panel with Bark 3D Embossing Folder (E3D-116).
• Die Cut 2 Suitcases using Suitcase Die (S1-135 W24). Assemble dies.
• Cut Latte Sentiment Mat measuring: 2 1/16" x 1/2".
• Stamp "Adventure Awaits" sentiment using Typewriter Adventure Sentiments (STP-238) on Portobello card stock with Brown ink. Trim into sentiment strip measuring: 2 15/16" x 3/8".  
• Assemble card.
• Embellish with Woodland Tales Gems (SCS-363).

White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

Red Hot Embossed Panel: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

Black Rectangle Mat: 2 3/8" x 3 5/8"

White Pierced Rectangle: 2 1/4" x 3 1/2"

Steps to Create Card: 

• Create White A2 Top Fold Card Base measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
• Cut Red Hot Panel measuring: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8". Emboss panel using Heart Swag Embossing Folder of the Month (EOM-DEC24). Add ink blending around panel using Red Velvet and Charcoal Brown ink.
  
• Cut Black Rectangle Mat measuring:  2 3/8" x 3 5/8"
• Die Cut White Pierced Rectangle measuring: 2 1/4" x 3 1/2" using Postage Edge Rectangles (S5-540).
• Die Cut Kitty and Heart Balloons using Kitty & Heart Balloon Die (S1-142 W23) with White, Black, Red Hot and Bubblegum Pink card stock. Add ink shading to balloons using Bubblegum Pink, Red Velvet and Charcoal Brown. 
• Stamp "Be Mine" sentiment using Forever Yours Clear Stamp & Die of the Month (CDOM-DEC24) on White Pierced panel with Black ink. 
• Assemble card.
• Embellish with Pink Opalescent Sequins (SCS-354 W22).

Card Measurements:

Kraft Tall & Skinny Card Base: 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" (3 1/2" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

Sweet Mango Mat: 2 1/2" x 5"

White Stenciled Panel: 2 3/8" x 4 7/8"

White Scallop Border: 15/16" x 5"

Black Sentiment Strip: 2 3/8" x 3/8"

Steps to Create Card: 

• Create Kraft Tall & Skinny Card Base measuring: 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" (3 1/2" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
• Cut Sweet Mango Mat measuring: 2 1/2" x 5".
• Cut White A2 Panel measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I used the Bokeh Mini Stencil (STN-085 W20) with Sweet Mango ink and applied different pressures for each stencil (light, medium & heavy) for a monochromatic look. Trim Panel to measure: 2 3/8" x 4 7/8".
• Die Cut 3 Popsicles using Popsicle Die (S1-146 W21) with White and Sweet Mango card stock. Assemble popsicles. 
• Stamp and Emboss "Have A Sweet Day" sentiment using Sentiment Die Set (W19) with Versamark ink and White Embossing Powder on Black card stock. Trim into sentiment strip measuring: 2 3/8" x 3/8".
• Assemble card.
• Embellish Popsicles by applying a layer of Glue and sprinkle Unicorn Glitter. Then apply a layer of Glaze 'n Glue. For final touch add Clear Enamel Dots.

• Create White A2 Top Fold Card Base measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
• Cut Sage A2 Panel measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Emboss Panel using Bark 3D Embossing Folder (E3D-116).
• Die Cut White Frame using Nested Scallop Tag Die Set (S2-391 W17) measuring: 2 3/16" x 2 5/8" (outside), 1 3/8" x 1 3/4" (inside).
• Die Cut Florals using Woodland Tales (S4-1384) with White and Kraft card stock. Add ink highlights to leaves with Kraft ink. 
• Stamp "Warmest Thanks" sentiment using Sentiment Stamp Set (W19) with Black ink on Kraft card stock. Trim to a strip measuring: 2 3/8" x 3/8".
• Assemble card.
• Embellish using Opalescent Sequins (SCS-353 W18).

• Die Cut sentiment using "You Made My Day" Sentiment Die Set ( S1-148 W16) with Lilac Blossom card stock. 
• Assemble card.
• Embellish using Violet Pearl Mix.

Fruit Punch Foiled Sentiment Banner: 2 3/8" x 1/4"

White Panel (Inside): 4" x 5 1/4"

Steps to Create Card:  

• Create Black A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
• Cut Black Panel measuring: 4" x 5 1/4". Emboss panel using Tiny Hearts 3D Embossing Folder of the Month (3EOM-DEC24).
• Die Cut H and Florals using Blooming Hello (DOM-DEC24) Light Pink, Berry Pink, Fruit Punch and Fresh Asparagus card stock.
• Foil "Happy Birthday" sentiment using Always and Forever Sentiment Strips (BP-025) foiled with Black Foil.
• Assemble card.
• Embellish with Black Pearls.

• Cut Black A2 Panel measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Emboss panel using Tiny Hearts 3D Embossing Folder of the Month (3EOM-DEC24).
• Die Cut Monsters, Heart, White Scallop Rectangle and "Crazy For You" sentiment strip using Monster Love Pop (DOML-DEC24) with Black, White, Light Teal and Coral card stock. Assemble Monsters.
• Assemble card.
• Embellish using Red Heart Sprinkles and White Gel Pen highlights on Monsters.

• Die Cut Monster using You're my Favorite Monster (CLD-DEC24) with Light Pink, Berry Pink, Coral, White and Black card stock. Assemble monster.
• Stamp and Heat Emboss "I've Got A Monser-Sized Crush On You" using Forever Yours Clear Stamp & Die of the Month (CDOM-DEC24) with Versamark and White Embossing Powder. Trim sentiment into a strip measuring: 2 5/16" x 5/8".
• Assemble card.
• Embellish with Red Heart Sprinkles and White Gel Pen Highlights on monster.

The NEW BetterPress of the Month is called, Friendship Lace (BPOM-DEC24). This BetterPress Plate also includes to coordinating sentiments. I love that these plates can be pressed or foiled for that added shine. For my card sample today I foiled the plates with Champagne Foil (GLF-025) and did very light ink blending around the card panel to spotlight the sentiment.

Card Measurements:

White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

White Foiled/Ink Blended Panel: 3 7/8" x 5"

White Foiled Sentiment Strip: 2 3/8" x 1"

Steps to Create Card:

• Create White A2 Top Fold Card Base measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
• Cut White A2 Panel measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and Foil background panel using Friendship Lace BetterPress of the Month (BPOM-DEC24) with Champagne Foil (GLF-025). Ink Blend lightly around panel with Dusty Rose ink. Trim panel to measure: 3 7/8" x 5". Touch up ink blending if needed.
  
• Foil "You're The Friend Everyone Wishes For" sentiment using Friendship Lace BetterPress of the Month (BPOM-DEC24) with Champagne Foil (GLF-025) on White card stock. Cut into strip measuring: 2 3/8" x 1". 
• Assemble card. 
• Embellish using Pink Opalescent Sequins.
